Regulations Affecting Producers

We encourage producers to participate in the public comment process on any regulations. All regulations are published for comment before becoming official to provide Canadians with the opportunity to comment on proposed regulations published in the Canada Gazette, Part I.

Any regulations currently open for comments are listed below. If the CCA has issued comments on specific regulations, these will be posted as well.

Government departments and agencies, as well as stakeholders from the private sector, are required by law to publish certain information in the Canada Gazette - the official newspaper is published under the authority of the Statutory Instruments Act and of the Statutory Instruments Regulations.

For each proposed regulation listed, a contact name from the relevant department or agency and a closing date for comments is listed.
