Calgary, AB – The Canadian Cattlemen's Association (CCA) attended oral hearings of the WTO Dispute Settlement
Panel in Geneva, Switzerland this week.

CCA President Travis Toews said the Government of Canada presented a very compelling case that U.S. Country of
Origin Labelling (COOL) has violated the WTO Agreement.

“I am very pleased with the solid preparation of the Canadian team and the professional manner in which they refuted
the creative suggestions of the U.S. government,” Toews said following the hearings Sept. 14 and 15 in Geneva.
