CCA Statement on Federal Budget 2012

Calgary, AB – Upon an initial review of the Federal Budget 2012, the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) is pleased to observe that the Government of Canada is taking steps to ensure the long-term health of the Canadian economy. Budget 2012 is focused on reducing the federal deficit and returning to balanced budgets.

“The Budget is an important step in the Canadian federal policy development process, but in agriculture, we already know that the existing Growing Forward 2 process is where the key decisions for the future will be made,” said CCA President Martin Unrau.
