CCA focussed on Canada-Korea free trade agreement

Calgary, AB – The Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) is pleased that the Government of Canada has resolved the beef market access issue with Korea and terminated the World Trade Organization (WTO) Dispute Settlement Panel. We call on both Governments to continue their dialogue with the objective to concluding the Canada-Korea free trade agreement (FTA).

“Korea is an important market for Canadian cattle producers,” said CCA President Martin Unrau. “We appreciate the efforts of International Trade Minister Ed Fast and Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz and cheer their ongoing progress towards restoring market access for high quality Canadian beef.”
