Operating Divisions

Under the guidance of the CCA’s national, producer-led Board of Directors, CCA’s operating divisions play a critical role in taking action on the Board’s industry goals and recommendations which provide Canadian producers a voice nationally and internationally. In addition to bringing forward key policy issues to the federal government, the CCA implements strategies and executes tactics on a day-to-day basis that carry out the strategic vision of the industry and Board for achieving their goals.

Funding the CCA’s industry work

The CCA receives funding through various streams primarily based on funding received through the national check-off system. Each member province contributes a portion of the provincial check-off dollars based on assessment according to their relative marketings. The number number of directors on the CCA Board from each province is directly proportional to the level of funding a province provides.
